Iconic Ram statue will be built in Ayodhya, says Yogi Adityanath

  The news of building lord's Ram 151 metre statue had been coming for a while but the CM confirmed it on Wednesday. The land for the construction has not been finalised as yet.

Taking note of the delay in construction of Ram Temple, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Wednesday that a gigantic statue of lord Ram would be built along Saryu river in Ayodhya.

The news of building lord's Ram 151 metre statue had been coming for a while but the CM confirmed it on Wednesday. The land for the construction has not been finalised as yet.

During deepotsav celebrations, Yogi had announced the construction of an airport and a hospital in Ayodhya. The airport will be named after lord Ram an the hospital after his father Dashrath.

Facing pressure from saints for the construction of the temple, the CM said a the issue would be resolved soon.

Highlighting the issue of Ram Temple, Yogi on Tuesday had celebrated deepotsav in a grand fashion, sending a strong message to the country that his government is doing its best for the construction of the temple.

This was the second year in row that the Chief Minister celebrated Diwali in Ayodhya and led the lighting of over three lakh ‘diyas’ (earthen lamps), decorated by 5000 children, on the banks of river Saryu.

Foundation stone of the pedestal on which grand statues of Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman would be installed in the holy city were laid.

The celebrations commenced from Sunday and ended on November 6 with an effort being made to create a world record by lighting three lakh ‘diyas’ on the banks of river Saryu.
