Actress Mouni Roy, who played the lead in two parts of Naagin franchise may not be in Naagin 3. Yes, if latest reports are to be believed, the makers of the show are searching for a new face for the third instalment. This comes as a big shock as Ekta Kapoor has earlier said that Mouni would feature in Naagin 3 then what happened?
Earlier, it was being said that the rift between the actress and Ekta is the reason Mouni said no to the show. But, now it is reported that the reason is her busy schedule.
The lady, who will soon be making her Bollywood debut with Akshay Kumar starrer Gold, will start shooting for web series Mehrunisa. Reports are also doing the rounds that’s she will also feature in Ayaan Mukerji’s Brahmastra alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
Speculations are rife that many renowned actresses have auditioned to play the lead in Naagin 3 but none of them have been finalised yet. The show will reportedly go air on January and replace Chandrakanta.
It is yet to be seen if the viewers accept another actress in Mouni’s place.
