Comedy king Kapil Sharma to marry girlfriend Ginni Chatrath in Amritsar this December?
Things have started to look bright for comedy king Kapil Sharna. After announcing his TV comeback, the comedian is all set to get married to his girlfriend Ginni Chatrath, latest reports suggest. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Kapil will enter matrimony with Ginni in a big fat Punjabi 4-day long wedding ceremony in his hometown Amritsar in December.
In March last year, Kapil surprised his fans by sharing pics of Ginni on Twitter and introducing her as his ladylove.
Ginni has known Kapil for over 10 years
Kapil and Ginni have reportedly known each other since their college days in Punjab. What started as friendship took time to bloom into love though, says a source close to Kapil. The duo has been together for more than 10 years now.
Ginni participated in a TV show that too with Kapil
Yes, the love birds participated in a television reality show “Hans Baliye”, as a couple. This is where they came close to each other as they were partners. While they failed to win the show, they were appreciated for their performance. Ginni was also into stand-up comedy. In fact, Kapil used to help arrange shows for her at college fests.
Ginni is a business lady
The pretty woman, who is still living in Jalandhar, will take care of Kapil’s production house, K9 Productions, after marriage, a source revealed. It was said that since she is an MBA and knows how to handle business well, she is the perfect fit for handling Kapil’s business.
Ginni has already impressed Kapil’s mother
The person, happiest with their engagement, seems to be Kapil’s mother. Reportedly, Kapil’s mom has been wanting Kapil to settle down from a long time and now, she is much more than happy and satisfied. The doting mother loves her future ‘bahu’ to the fullest, sources said.
Kapil Sharma confirmed his TV comeback news with a tweet. On Saturday, Kapil posted on his handle, “Jalad wapas aa raha hoon ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ lekar aap ke liye sirf @SonyTV par.”
The channel also issued an official statement that read, “Yes, Kapil Sharma is coming home to Sony Entertainment Television with his highly successful weekend comedy show ‘the Kapil Sharma show’. We are delighted and looking forward to again collaborate with Kapil and his absolutely talented creative team and actors.”
