Los Angeles, Feb 6: Singer Demi Lovato insists her stint in rehab has helped her a lot and says she will be a better person for the man "I am in a relationship with".
The 20-year-old, who previously dated Joe Jonas and Wilmer Valderrama, checked into a treatment centre for emotional issues following a breakdown on tour in South America in 2010.
"I can finally trust and love and be a better person for the man I am in a relationship with, instead of being a clingy girlfriend or getting jealous,"femalefirst.co.uk quoted Lovato as saying.
"It is very unhealthy when girls devote all of their time to a guy and forget their friends and family. I did that. I was always looking for distractions because I was so afraid of being alone," she added.
