Los Angeles, Sept 2: Lindsay Lohan recently paid homage to her New York roots by tattooing the lyrics to Billy Joel's iconic song, “I Go To Extremes,” on her ribcage.
Lindsay chose the lyrics, “Clear as a crystal sharp as a knife/I feel like I'm in the prime of my life,” from the singer's 1989 song.
According to TMZ, the star got her tattoo at Los Angeles tattoo shop Shamrock Tattoos sometime this week.
A TMZ source said the words from the fellow New Yorker are important to the actress.
“It represented where she is in life and everything she's been through,” the source said. “It signifies that she's focused.”
Lindsay is a longtime fan of the singer and fond of his lyrics.
In May 2010, after the death of her uncle, she Tweeted, “Did Billy Joel curse us when he said, ‘Only the GOOD die young'?”
