Los Angeles: Reality TV star Kim Kardashian, who faced criticism for her fashion choices during her pregnancy, has advised expectant mothers to never leave the house.

This may be due to the criticism she received about her weight gain when she was pregnant with North West.

While attending an event for the Kardashian Kids collection, Kim told Elle magazine in an interview that she believes that expectant mothers should stay indoors, reports contactmusic.com.

"I recommend hiding for a good year and having no pregnancy style," Kim said when asked how to dress with a baby bump.

"That's what I recommend. If you can do it, hide. Never leave the house," she added.

Joining Kim at the event, and in the interview, were her sisters Khloe and Kourtney.

"Okay, well that's not practical. Give a different answer," Khloe chipped in, referring to Kim's remarks.

"That's really my recommendation, wear a huge blanket," said Kim, adding that she didn't just go through negative experiences when she was carrying her baby, daughter North West.

Both Khloe and Kim were also very complimentary about their eldest sister's pregnancy fashion sense.

"You have great pregnancy style, though," Khloe said to Kourtney, who is expecting her third child with beau Scott Disick.

"You have the best pregnancy style, you just wear regular clothes in a bigger size," Kim added.
