London: Singer Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has reportedly not been included in former boyfriend Derek Hough's autobiography because he's still “devastated” about their split.
The 31-year-old was in relationship with the professional dancer following her split from first husband Ashley Cole.
According to a source, Hough is still so “devastated” about their break up that he's chosen not to include her in his memoir, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
“Derek honestly thought Cheryl was the one when they were together. He doted on her every word and helped her come back emotionally after he split with Ashley,” The Sun newspaper quoted the source as saying.
The 29-year-old star, who has won reality show “Dancing with the Stars” five times, was thought to be preparing to propose to Cheryl after nursing her back to health following her contraction of malaria.
The source added: “He was also at her bedside morning, noon and night when she suffered her malaria scare after their break to Africa.”
However, Cheryl who referred to Hough as her “rock” after meeting him on the set of her music video for her single “Parachutes” - ended their relationship when she left Los Angeles for good.
“Cheryl had never been treated like that before and adored Derek. However, in 2011 she called time on their love affair when she moved full time back to England. Derek was devastated. He tried to win her back, but they never made it work,” the source said.
Cheryl later went on to date American dancer Tre Holloway before tying the knot with French restaurateur Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini in a secret ceremony last year.
