Hours after confirmation, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has finally welcomed Katrina Kaif, his leading lady for upcoming film Bharat.
The Dabangg star took to his social media handles and posted a welcome note for Bollywood diva who will be romancing Khan in the action-thriller. "Ek sundar aur shusheel ladki jiska Naam hai Katrina Kaif .... Swagat hai aapka #Bharat ki zindagi mein," read the caption.
Kaif has replaced Priyanka Chopra, who made an exit from the project due to her alleged engagement with rumoured boyfriend, Nick Jonas. The movie directed by Ali Abbas Zafar marks third collaboration between Zafar and Salman Khan after the 2016 film Sultan and the recent Tiger Zinda Hai. Katrina featured in Zafar's debut movie, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. He also welcomed the actress, calling her lifeline of the film. Bharat is set to have a character-driven story spanning over many time periods and will be shot across locations in Abu Dhabi and Spain, besides Punjab and Delhi. Bharat has an ensemble star cast which includes Sunil Grover, Disha Patani, Tabu and Nora Fatehi. Salman plays the role of a stunt artiste in the circus in the film. The flick which is being produced by Salman's brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri is slated to hit theatres on June 5, next year.
