Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone who is enthralling the audience with her spectacular performance in Padmaavat, has another reason to be super-happy. She already received an award for her role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat. No, we’re not talking about the ‘actual’ award. But Deepika Padukone received something lately which equals to a prestigious award for her. She received accolade from none other than the megastar Amitabh Bachchan for her performance as Rani Padmavati.
The 'Shahenshah' of Bollywood wrote a handwritten letter to Deepika expressing how much he loved her performance in the movie.
Sharing the note on social media, the dimpled beauty wrote, "there are awards...there are rewards...& then there is THIS! Thank You Baba... @amitabhbachchan"
Deepika's much-awaited film 'Padmaavat' released on January 25 after a long turbulent journey. The film faced flak and outrage from various religious outfits of the country, including Rajput Karni Sena. After getting a clear pass from Supreme Court, the film finally released in India with a changed title ‘Padmaavat’. Despite the fact that 4 Indian states refused to screen the film, Padmaavat crossed Rs. 100 crore-mark at the box office within four days. Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum-opus currently stands at Rs. 166 crore. The magnum opus has shattered many box office records and will continue doing so, looking at the pace at which it is climbing the success ladder.
'Padmaavat' also stars Shahid Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Jim Sarbh, Aditi Rao Hydari and Raza Murad.
