Tabu, who was reportedly approached to play Priyanka's mother in Zoya AKhtar's next has declined the proposal.
The buzz is that the talented actress who has already proved her metal in Bollywood with various highly acclaimed films is not keen to do Priyanka's mother on screen.
While the speculations regarding Tabu playing a romantic lead opposite Shahid Kapoor in Vikas Bahl's next were going the rounds, it was also anticipated that the actress would soon be playing PeeCee's on screen mother in ‘Dil Dhadakne Do.'
Now since Tabu is reported to romance Shahid in the film tentatively titled ‘Return Gift,' it seems sensible for her to refuse playing mother to 31-year-old Priyanka.
Tabu was last seen playing Salman Khan's sister in ‘Jai Ho,' and previously given many hits including ‘Chandni Bar,' ‘Virasat,' ‘The Namesake' and ‘The Life of Pi.'
