" I think the biggest qualification for becoming a politician seems to be that one has to be a goonda (ruffian). Had I been a politician, I would have earned much money. But right now, I earn my money honestly, and not by robbing anybody."

Devgn said, today's politicians are afraid of the strength of both the young generation and the media.

Prakash Jha ruled out re-entering politics saying: "I can now give it in writing that I will never contest elections, nor join any political party. I don't want to become a neta".
