New Delhi: Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh was in the news recently when he told the media that he has been offered a role in the hit HBO series Game of Thrones. The media was abuzz with this news since GOT is a popular fantasy series and grabbing a role in it would have meant that Neil would become a global star, instantly.
But the channel HBO shot back at the actor clarifying that no role was offered to him. They released a statement denying any such development.

Neil had told the media that he worked with Greg Powell, the action director of Game of Thrones, for ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo'. He said Greg was so impressed by his dedication that he said he would consider him for a role in the sixth season of GOT.
“Greg has directed two sword fighting sequences in PRDP for which I had to train for over a month in order to get the stance and wrist movements right. He seemed pretty impressed with all the hard work I put in and made the offer when we were shooting for the climax scene a few months ago,” Neil had said.
