As per a newspaper report, a close family relative of Harbhajan has revealed that the 35-year-old legendary bowler will tie the knot with 31-year-old Basra on October 29 in Hotel Club Cabana in Phagwara, around 20 kms from Jalandhar.
The source also stated that the dates might change in case Bhajji gets picked for the upcoming series against South Africa at home slated for the same month.
Bhajji is currently in Sri Lanka as part of the Indian Test squad, hence the news couldn't be confirmed from his end. Meanwhile, his cousin Gurpreet Vicky said that any disclosure about the former's marriage will be made only when he returns from his trip.
A senior official from Club Cabana, however, confirmed the booking made by the family for the event. “'We have been booked for an event. We cannot disclose anything as we have been asked to maintain confidentiality,” said the club official.
As per the report, a former Punjab Ranji player sharing good ties with Harbhajan has also confirmed the latter's plans to tie the knot later this year. He also said that Bhajji's family is busy making preparations for the big fat Punjabi wedding.
Sources revealed that the marriage invitations and other preparations will be confirmed after the cricketer returns from Sri Lanka.
They also said that the occasion will see many celebrities from both the cricket world and B-town. Geeta Basra was last seen in Dharmendra and Gippy Grewal-starrer 'Second Hand Husband'. She has also worked in films like 'Zila Ghaziabad' and 'The Train' apart from a music video.
