Mumbai, Aug 15 : Bollywood's 'Bharat' Manoj Kumar went to Ghatkopar at the stroke of midnight and unfurled the Indian national tricolour to celebrate the 65th anniversary of India's independence.
Manoj Kumar then sang 'Mere desh ki Dharti sona ugle, ugley hirey moti, Mere Desh Ki Dharti'.
The function was organised by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena MLA Ram Kadam at Ghatkopar.
Manoj Kumar paid tributes to former Maharashtra chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh and prayed to God to give strength to his family in this hour of bereavement.
