New Delhi: Just a day before director Milap Zaveri slammed Anurag Kashyap for mocking his sex-comedy ‘Masti' and now the Dev D director has expressed to make an apology for it.
A leading daily when asked Kashyap about Zaveri's anger on the social media platform, he through a text message replied, “Yaar, ask him! I have no time for it. I would never have said anything against him in any case. If something I have said has offended him, then I will apologise to him.”
Zaveri's rage on Twitter came after Anurag while promoting ‘Hunterrr' said, “I am not frustrated enough to watch Masti and Grand Masti. I would never go for these movies even if someone gave me Rs 5 crores to watch it.”
The ‘Grand Masti' writer slammed him by calling him double-standard and even asked him to learn how to be civil while expressing his views over any movie instead of using derogatory remark.
Milap whose ‘Mastizaade' will hit the theatres this year in an interview remained adamant over what he said on Twitter. “When Anurag has made a sex comedy, isn't it inappropriate to speak so condescendingly about the biggest hit in that particular genre? What is the need to bad-mouth? Vikas Bahl and Vikramaditya Motwane were both there and they expressed the fact that they did not like Masti or its sequel in a very civil manner”, Milap was quoted as saying by a leading daily.
What the director finds funny is that even Sooraj Barjatya who is known for giving clean family entertainers called him and said how much he loved his sex-comedy drama. “He is appreciative of his colleagues and doesn't act like a hypocrite,” Zaveri added.
Let's see if Anurag really says sorry to him.
