Mumbai, Jun 2: Noted Pakistani singer Adnan Sami would not be able to perform shows in Dubai, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa with the Mumbai Sessions Court today rejecting his application seeking to travel to these nations.
Objecting to Sami's application, Public Prosecutor Mohan Sawant argued that Sami is a citizen of Pakistan and there is no extradition treaty with that country and it would be very difficult to get him back if he chooses to go to Pakistan.
Sawant pointed out that there were proceedings under the Foreign Exchange Management Act against Sami with regard to the flats he had purchased in Mumbai and an another case of domestic violence pending against him.
Sawant also argued that when Sami was earlier allowed to travel to Dubai, he also had travelled to Canada thereby breaching the permission. PTI
