New Delhi: Falling just short of Rs 1.05 cr from touching that Rs 100 cr mark, Alia Bhatt-Arjun Kapoor's ‘2 States' has minted a stupendous Rs 98.95 cr in India in three weeks.

After a superb one week and a steady second week, the Abhishek Varman directorial had a pleasant week 3 with Rs 11.64 cr nett collection in India.

“#2States [Week 3] Fri 1.67 cr, Sat 2.70 cr, Sun 3.13 cr, Mon 1.12 cr, Tue 1.08 cr, Wed 1.01 cr, Thu 93 lacs. Grand total: Rs 98.95 cr nett”, tweets trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh.

Now, with superstar Rajinikanth's “Kochadaiyaan”, which could have troubled any flick coming its way, being postponed to May 22nd, 2 States is surely to be benefited.

Since, once again in its third week in a row, no big flick has hit the box office; the romantic flick will enjoy a clear week and will do a better business than expected.

In a day or two, 2 States is expected to hit the ton and become the second Rs 100 cr grosser of the year after Salman Khan's Jai Ho, while in by coming week anything around Rs 5 cr will be great for the flick at box office.

"#2States Week 1 - 60.77 cr, Week 2 - 26.54 cr, Week 3 - 11.64 cr. Grand total: Rs 98.95 cr nett. India biz. Should touch Rs 100 cr this wknd", confirm Adarsh.

On the other hand, about a half a dozen of flicks have hit the theatres including Hawa Hawaai, Manjuath and Mastram.
