Mumbai: Bollywood actors are often seen experimenting with their looks to get into the skin of the character. The recent actors to do so are Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and  Randeep Hooda, who lost and gained weight for their respective movies.

Now the next in the list is actress Swara Bhaskar, who is on a weight loss spree for her role in the upcoming film "Veere Di Wedding". The movie makers, reportedly have asked her to shed some kilos.

Speaking about the project, Swara said, "Hopefully, we will be on the floors with 'Veere Di Wedding' in September. I am very excited. The preparations are on... I have been instructed to lose weight. So all my focus and effort is currently towards not having food."

"Veere Di Wedding" also stars her "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" co-star Sonam Kapoor apart from Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shikha Talsania.

Kareena is expecting her first child, so is the team going to take extra care of her?

Swara said: "I am sure that we all will take care of her very well. We will feed her a lot of food, even whatever we can't eat."

When Kareena-Saif’s live-in relationship SHOCKED the Kapoor family

When the news of Kareena's pregnancy had emerged, there was uncertainty if she would still do the film. But the film's producer Rhea Kapoor had clarified that Kareena being a "thorough professional" would complete the film and that the team was proud to have her.

About the story of the film, Swara said: "It is definitely a very empowering story, a very enjoyable story, a happy kind of story consisting of very empowered female characters.

"It is not necessary that every story about women is a sad story, or about a 'dukhiyari' or 'abla naari', 'bechaari' (helpless) or her struggle... Women also have fun, they dance, party. So it is a really fun story; it looks at today's urban women and their real problems."

The film is directed by Shashank Ghosh.
