The biopic on Indian Cricket’s team ODI captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has made the right noises since its inception. Starring Sushant Singh Rajput in the titular role, promotions are going on in full swing for this 30th September release. However, there is a new piece of information about the movie which will ad to the excitement of the fans eagerly waiting for the movie.
If media reports are anything to go by, Pakistani actor Fawad Khan will be doing a cameo in the movie. Fawad’s cameo is apparently the best kept secret of production house Fox Star Studios. What’s more? Reports have it that Fawad will play the role of star batsman Virat Kohli.
Well, if this is true, this may turn out to be another high of the biopic which traces the story of Dhoni. After all, no one is oblivious to the fandom that Fawad enjoys in India.
It seems that Fawad have agreed to play a cameo in this movie because of his love for cricket. During one of his interviews the heartthrob had revealed how he aspired to become a cricketer when he was young. So, engrossed Fawad was with this sport that when he was a kid he went into depression after Pakistan lost a crucial match to India in the 1996 World Cup. Fawad’s parents had prohibited him from watching the game after this incident.
Turns out, his parents couldn’t stop Fawad from playinn cricket on screen (only if he is part of the biopic).
Featuring Kiara Advani, Disha Patani and Anupam Kher in pivotal roles, ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ is directed by Neeraj Pandey.
