February 24 is marked as a black day for Bollywood as veteran actress Sridevi breathed her last on this very day. Amid the tragic news, buzz has it that a movie on her life is all set to be made. Ram Gopal Varma has plans to direct a film based on Sridevi’s life, latest reports suggest. Lyricist Sirasri, a follower of RGV, has hinted about the director's plan in a TV show. Sridevi had worked with Ram Gopal Varma in Telugu film Kshana Kshanam.
According to Deccan Chronicle, Sirasri has said that the Sarkar director will make the official announcement about the film once he figures out the story.
However, there hasn't been any official announcement from Ram Gopal Varma himself.
The filmmaker was shocked by the sudden death of veteran actress Sridevi. The ace director wrote an emotional message on social media stating that he hates god for killing Sridevi and also hate the actress for dying.
Why are you crying Sridevi? We are the only ones who should be doing that for what you did to us! pic.twitter.com/TNhllCImRk— Ram Gopal Varma (@RGVzoomin) February 25, 2018
Sridevi, who was in Dubai to attend a family wedding, passed away due to accidental drowning following a loss of consciousness on February 24. She was cremated after being given the state honours in Mumbai on February 28. She is survived by husband Boney Kapoor and daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor.
Condolences have poured in since the death of the actress, who redefined the importance of the female lead in India’s largely male-dominated film industry.
Sridevi, who used only one name onscreen, had been a child actress and worked in regional films in southern India before making her Bollywood debut in the late 1970s.
