The rivalry between India and Pakistan at the border has always been a matter of concern for both the countries. Infiltration bids and cease fire violations at the Indo-Pak border are quite often, reported in media.
But looks like the entertainment industry in these neighbourhood countries are barely affected by this enmity.
We often see several Pakistani artists displaying their talents in Bollywood movies. In fact, Fawad Khan, Alia Zafar, Mahira Khan, Atif Aslam etc are some of the Pakistani artists who have become a household name in India.
On the other not much Indian celebs have made their contribution to the Pakistani cinema.
But now a small screen actress has been roped in for a Pakistani daily soap.
We are talking about Sara Khan, who will become the first Indian Television actress to work in Pakistan serial. Earlier, Naseeruddin Shah and Kiron Kher has been a part of Pakistani movies, but none of the India artists have worked in a daily soap there.
The former Bigg Boss contestant Sara is quite thrilled to work in Pakistan.
She said, “Whatever role I have done be it a Naagin in Sasuraal Simar Ka and now a Daayan in Kavach, I have done with conviction. It is an honour to do my first Pakistani drama series. In Pakistan, serials and films do not have a demarcation like in India. In fact, Pakistani drama industry is biggest there. So, I am super excited”.
The yet-to-be titled show will be directed by Aabid Raza is produced by top notch producer of Pakistan, Sana Shahnawaz.
This is not the first time that Sara will be a part of a Pakistani project. She was earlier seen in a Pakistani telefilm ‘Tujh Se Hi Raabta’ with Yasir Shah.
Currently, Sara Khan is busy shooting for ‘Kawach’ in which she plays the role of Monjulika. As ‘Kawach’ is said to wrap up in August, Sara is said to leave for Pakistan soon after the last schedule of the daily soap.
