Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan and her mother Amrita Singh have claimed over property worth crores in Dehradun and approached police regarding the case. The mother-daughter duo reached Clementown police station on Saturday for staking the claim to the property, which is located in the outskirts of Uttarakhand's capital. The property expands over 16,000 square feet area.

Actually, it belonged to Amrita's maternal uncle Madhusudan Bimbet, who died of cancer on Saturday. Amrita along with her daughter came to Dehradun to cremate her maternal uncle's body and then allegedly entered the bungalow, says report. The suit over the title is pending in court. The high-profile case has another interesting angle as well.

Khusiram, the caretaker of Amrita's maternal uncle for the last three years, in his application to the police, mentioned that the property has been locked so that no one could enter. This has been done as per the order of Amrita's uncle Madhusudan. A close friend of the family says that no one came to visit Madhusudan when he was ailing and needed them the most. However, people have started turning up to claim over the property soon after his demise.

Comments from Sara and Amrita are awaited. For now, we have to wait to see what happens next.

Meanwhile, Sara Ali Khan, who made his debut with Kedarnath has a close connection with Uttarakhand as her first film was entirely shot in the beautiful state. The movie, directed by Abhishek Kapoor was an inter-faith love story set against the backdrop of 2013 Uttarakhand deluge. It had Sushant Singh Rajput as the male protagonist.

Sara was next seen in Rohit Shetty's Simmba, which roared at the box office. The movie starring Ranveer Singh as Bhalerao Sangram has minted over Rs 200 crores
