Superstar Salman Khan has heaped praises on the Indian army for carrying out the surgical strike in Pakistan occupied Kashmir on terror launch pads. In a media interaction on Friday at the launch event for the jewellery range of his brand ‘Being Human’, Salman said that ‘action’ was bound to get a ‘reaction’.
In the 2015 blockbuster movie ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, Salman crossed the border to reunite a dumb girl with her family but this reaction of his says that he also supports extreme steps during extreme times. While in the movie a simpleton breached borders for a humanitarian cause, in reality Indian soldiers did the same to give a strong statement to Pakistan and rest of world that we have no tolerance for terror.
Yesterday, the Indian army confirmed in a press conference that a surgical attack was launched on terror pads in PoK to ensure safety of the nation. The over night operation in which special commando forces penetrated deep into the LoC reportedly killed 35-40 militants.
Since surgical attacks are being discussed in detail since yesterday, Salman too was asked about it. The 50-year old superstar said that it would have been nice if peace would have prevailed but the action by army was necessary too.
The ‘Sultan’ stars reportedly said, “Peace hota toh acha hota par action ka reaction hona hi tha”.
Before Salman, many Bollywood celebs showered praises on the Indian army for carrying out the operation. Stars like Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan had said that they are proud of the army.
