Actress Rinku Rajguru, who was applauded for her performance in blockbuster ‘Sairat’, yesterday appeared for her 10th class exam in Solapur district, Maharashtra.

The lady, who played the character of Archi in the film stated that she completed her syllabus in a month and the time was enough for her. Rinku added that the change from films to studies was not difficult for her.

"I covered the syllabus in just over a month of study," she told reporters before reaching the exam centre in Solapur district, as the SSC (10th class) exams began in Maharashtra today.

Altogether 17.66 lakh students are appearing for the exams.

"The transition from 'lights, camera, action' to 'physics, chemistry, maths' was not difficult. The one-and-a-half-month period I got for studies was enough," she added.

In June last year, Rinku had attended her school at Akluj in Solapur district, after being away from home since the film released to a rousing reception last year, attending promotional and celebration events and appearing on popular TV shows.

"Sairat" has become the highest grossing film in Marathi cinema history, reaching the Rs 100 crore landmark.

When she was in Akluj on June 12 for a felicitation event, her fans who gathered in thousands at the venue, had made it impossible for her to get out of the vehicle.

Rinku, who has become a household name in Maharashtra after the grand success of the movie, had failed to make it to the school on the first day of the new academic year. Rinku had scored 81 per cent marks in her 9th Class exam.

A day after she got a special mention when the National Film Awards were announced, Rinku had calmly appeared for her 9th Class exam in her school Jijamata Kanya Prashala, a girls school.
