Farhan Akhtar and Shraddha Kapoor’s much touted movie ‘Rock On 2’ has hit the silver screens today with several B-town celebs coming forward to promote the sequel of 2008 release.
From Varun Dhawan, Shahid Kapoor, cricketer Yuvraj Singh and several A-listers took to micro-blogging site Twitter to promote the musical drama.
And now the recent one to join the bandwagon is Mr. Perfectionist who has sung praises for ‘Rock On 2’ on Twitter. The actor sent out his best wishes for the movie which happens to be director Shujaat Saudagar’s first directorial venture.

Earlier, actress Alia Bhatt too shared an adorable post on Instagram for promoting her friend Shraddha’s movie. Alia posted a video in which she was seen using one of the snapchat features with her face and voice turned funny as she shout out loud for ‘Rock On 2’.
Karan Johar too expressed his eagerness to watch the ‘coolest film on block’ in one of his tweets.
Amidst all the promotional messages for ‘Rock On 2’, Anil Kapoor and Ranveer Singh swept the limelight for their ‘jhakkas’ style of promotions.
Anil tweeted a video of himself where he was seen cycling on Mumbai streets, with the title track of ‘Rock On’ playing in the background. The veteran actor cited the song as one of his favourite number for working out. Notably, ‘Rock On 2’ has been the sequel of 2008 much popular movie ‘Rock On’ which featured Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal and Purab Kohli in the lead.
On the other hand, Ranveer Singh shared a dubsmashed video on Twitter where he was seen lip-syncing the lines of 'Pichle saat dinon mein' which is one of the tracks of ‘Rock On’.
Looks like the entire B-town is having high hopes with ‘Rock On 2’.
It is worth mentioning, that while ‘Rock On’ was quite acclaimed by the audience, it did an average business at the box office.
Now only time will reveal if the sequel is able to recreate the ‘magik’ in audience’s hearts and leave a mark at the box office as well.
