Rajinikanth’s ‘Kaala’ teaser postponed due to Kanchi Shankaracharya's demise

Saraswathi passed away in Kanchipuram in a private hospital where he was admitted early on Wednesday.

All the fans of superstar Rajinikanth who were waiting to see Thailaiva in the much-awaited Kaala teaser will you to wait for one more day to watch the teaser. 

The teaser of the upcoming film"Kaala" was slated to release on Thursday, but will now be unveiled a day later, says producer Dhanush. The decision has been taken as a mark of respect to Jayendra Saraswathi, the 69th pontiff of the Sankara Mutt Kanchipuram in Tamil Nadu, who expired due to cardiac arrest in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday. 

Saraswathi passed away in Kanchipuram in a private hospital where he was admitted early on Wednesday. The 82-year-old pontiff was ailing for some time. 

The film, directed by Pa. Ranjith, stars megastar Rajinikanth.

"Due to the demise of respected Jagadguru Poojyashri Jayaendra Saraswati Shankaracharya, as a mark of respect Kaala teaser will be released on March 2. Apologies to all the fans who were eagerly waiting for the teaser," Dhanush tweeted. 

After revealing the poster of the film earlier this year, actor and producer of the film, Dhanush unveiled Rajinikanth's first look from the film on his 67th birthday.

In Kaala, Rajinikanth plays the role of a revered and feared don named Karikaalan (also called Kaala). The film is directed by Pa Ranjith, who made Kabali with Rajinikanth in 2015. The film also stars actors Huma Qureshi, Nana Patekar, Anjali Patil and Samuthirakani.
