Yash and Sridnidhi Shetty starrer KGF: Chapter 1 is going steady on the box office with good numbers pouring in. While the film opened with average numbers, it witnessed upward trends in the following day, courtesy, good word of mouth. In fact, the film has done better business on Day 6 than it did on Day 1. KGF was shot intensively in Kannada. It is released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. The film recieved positive reviews mostly even when just the trailer was released. KGF traces the life of Rocky, played by superstar Yash, who becomes the messiah of the people.

Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan's cop drama Simmba has appeared as tough competition for KGF but the box office numbers are still steady. The film released clashing with SRK's Zero on November 21. While Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero is spiralling down the box office chart, Yash starrer KGF: Chapter 1 is gaining momentum with each passing day and it refuses to slow down. The film has so far collected around Rs 24 crore from its Hindi version itself. Its Kannada version has grossed Rs 70 crore at the box office.
