The three superstars Khans i.e Salman, Aamir and Shah Rukh have been ruling Bollywood for close to three decades. Even in their 50s, the stardom of these actors have failed to die. Along with them another actor who has gained the superstar tag is Akshay Kumar.

Now the question posed by many is, who after them? Many renowned celebrities have been asked lately if any of the young actors have the potential to come close to the stardom of Khans. Filmmaker Karan Johar, however, said that it was not possible for any of the new age actors to achieve it.

Speaking at a recent event, KJo revealed that the Khans took over a decade to built their equity. He reportedly said that for becoming a superstar many people across the world should have watched your movie, but this won’t be possible with the younger lot.

Karan Johar said that even for actors like Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh it will be a difficult job to build a extremely loyal fan base.

“They are talented but building a following will be very difficult,” said Karan.

When Karan was asked to shed light on what obstacles he is talking about, the director said that the new age actors don’t have time to build their brand. He said that most of them were in their early 30’s and even now all the big holidays are booked by the reigning superstars.

“There are so many people who were young in the '80s loved who Salman Khan or Shah Rukh Khan in that era. They have now produced children and the kids automatically starts loving them because of the parents. If you really academically analyse, it is a number game,” Karan said.

A few days ago, actor Arjun Kapoor had said something on similar lines. When Arjun was asked if any one from his contemporaries would get the same stardom the older actors have, he said it is impossible. He had said that these days actors are judged after each movie of theirs so the meaning of superstar too has changed.
