Actress Huma Qureshi will be sharing screen space with superstar Rajinikanth in a yet-to-be tilted film. The flick will be produced by actor Dhanush under his home production Wunderbar Films.
The actress will be seen playing the love interest of Rajinikanth.
“The makers were keen on casting Huma in the romantic lead opposite megastar Rajinikanth as she fits the requirements of the role," the statement read.
The film, to be directed by P A Ranjith, is scheduled to go on floors by the end of this month here.
Huma has done many powerful roles in the past. She made her Bollywood debut with Anurag Kashyap's Gangs of Wasseypur.
Earlier, actresses like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Sonakshi Sinha and Radhika Apte have worked opposite Rajinikanth.
Huma was lately seen in Akshay Kumar starrer Jolly LLB 2. She received positive response from the audience. The movie entered the coveted Rs 100 crore club. Rajinikanth will next be seen in 2.0 alongside Akshay Kumar.
