John Abaraham and Sonakshi Sinha will soon be hitting the silver screen with their upcoming movie ‘Force 2’. The promotions have begun and the entire team has pulled up its socks to promote the movie in the best possible way.
However, unlike other movies, the promotions of ‘Force 2’ seems to be going on in a different way.
The lead actors of the movie, during their promotional visit to the national captial paid tribute to the Indian forces at the Amar Jawan Jyoti.
John and Sonakshi placed a wreath near the Amar Jawan Jyoti and urged the people to respect the armed forces.
They also appealed that the system must recognise the soldiers who lose their lives while safeguarding the country and that they must be given the status of martyrs.
John, who plays one of the lead actors in the movie, stated that it is quite distressing that the selfless sacrifices of the brave heart soldiers go unnoticed.
"We understand that revealing names of people who are currently serving, may lead to political or security issues. However, it's a meek request that the long pending cases of people get resolved, giving them their needed status and recognition in our society," John added.
John and Sonakshi also shared the picture of their visit to Amar Jawan Jyoti on micro-blogging site Twitter in which the two are seen wearing tee that says ‘Respect the Indian Forces’.
Interestingly, ever since the trailer of ‘Force 2’ was released, the makers have been stating that the movie is a tribute to all the unsung heroes of the nation. In fact, the trailer also has a slide saluting the Indian armed forces.
Said to be inspired by true events, ‘Force 2’ is a sequel to John Abraham’s 2011 release ‘Force’. While the actor will be seen reprising his role from the first instalment, ‘Force 2’ will have Sonakshi Sinha playing the R.A.W agent.
Besides Johan and Sonakshi, ‘Force 2’ also features Tahir Raj Bhasin as the lead antagonist. Helmed by Abhinay Deo, the movie is slated to hit the theatres on November 18.
