Amidst the controversy around her upcoming magnum opus 'Padmaavat', Deepika Padukone was recently spotted wearing a traffic police uniform on the streets of Mumbai. Reportedly, Deepika was shooting for a television commercial when she was clicked atop a jeep in a police officer’s uniform.
Pictures from the set show Deepika lying on the bonnet of a jeep while wearing a cop uniform, a pair of chic black aviator sunglasses and black shoes and are going viral. Interestingly, she also has a red handkerchief tied around her left wrist - something we have seen ‘tapori cops’ doing in our films and TV serials. It is also the first time Deepika is seen in a cop avatar.
Although it is yet to be revealed what the storyline of the commercial is, the pictures have left everyone stunned as she is giving a tough traffic cop vibes in the shoot.

'Padmaavat' will finally release on January 25 and clash with Akshay Kumar's 'Padman' at the box office. After weeks of uncertainty, the makers of 'Padmaavat' finally announced the release date. Apart from Deepika who plays Rani Padmini, the film also stars Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, essaying the role of Maharawal Ratan Singh and Sultan Alauddin Khilji, respectively. Ever since shooting commenced, the film has been hit by a number of unfortunate controversies.
After Padmaavat, Deepika will star in a gangster drama helmed by Vishal Bharadwaj. The film will see her sharing screen space with Irrfan Khan.
