Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu-starrer Badla is scheduled to hit the screens on March 8, 2019. The crime-thriller will have the megastar and Taapsee reunite after the success of their critically-hit film Pink that released in 2016. The actress tweeted on Tuesday, announcing the official release date of the Sujoy Ghosh film.
Sharing the news, she wrote, “This will KICKSTART my 2019 ! #Badla.”
Also to be noted, Badla is releasing on the occasion of Women’s Day 2019. Writing about this, Taapsee tweeted, “A very happy women’s day people.”
"Badla", directed by Sujoy Ghosh, will present the two actors in pivotal roles. It has been produced by Red Chillies Entertainment in association with Azure Entertainment. Before this, Ghosh has successfully helmed crime-thriller films like Vidya Balan’s critically-acclaimed film Kahaani and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vidya Balan and Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Te3n.
While Amitabh and superstar Shah Rukh Khan have shared the screen together for multiple films, "Badla" will mark the first of its kind collaboration between producer Shah Rukh and Amitabh. The movie has been shot extensively in London and Scotland.
Recently, the entire team of Badla wrapped up their shooting. On Saturday, Sujoy Ghosh announced the shoot wrap with a tweet.
Taapsee tweeted a video of Ghosh jumping in the air, and wrote: "Anddddd its a schedule wrap from the youngest member of the cast and crew 'Badla' (considering we have a 2-year-old acting in the film, it's quite an achievement)."
