Answering the calls of masses ahead of 2019 Lok Sabha polls, Finance Minister Piyush Goyal on Friday proposed to give full tax rebate to people with annual income up to Rs 5 lakh. In the interim budget proposed in the Parliament today, the finance minister also increased the standard deduction from Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000 per annum.
