President Barack Obama vowed Sunday to "destroy" the Islamic State group and said that the United States would overcome a terror threat that has entered a "new phase".
In a rare Oval Office address, Obama sought to reassure Americans shaken by recent attacks in Paris and California.
"The threat from terrorism is real, but we will overcome it," he said, adding, "We will destroy ISIS and any other organization that tries to harm us."
