According to an official statement, Chief Secretary AK Tripathy, at a high-level meeting on Thursday had reviewed the progress made in three projects, following which the direction was issued.
Medical and paramedical colleges affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (ARGUHS) would resume regular classes from December 1, Karnataka Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar said on Friday.

"The proposal to convert 75 district hospitals into medical colleges in the third phase of the scheme has been sent for approval to the Expenditure Finance Committee (EFC), after which it will be sent to the Cabinet," a source said.
