Here's the worst hairstyles to ever grace the Premier League.1. Nicklas BendtnerIt's fair to say Nicklas Bendtner hasn't set the Premier League alight. Once dubbed the next big thing in world football, he's now only making appearances off the bench or starting in the Capital One Cup. Not what the Danish international probably had in mind back in 2007 when he thoroughly impressed at Birmingham City in the Championship, aged 19. Luckily for Bendtner, more people are ignoring his poor football and noticing the monstrosity on his head. 2. Raul MeirelesNo I'm not sure what it's meant to be either, but if I had to guess, then I'd say Raul was trying to go for a Bobby Charlton comb-over. Except he still has hair. Either way, Meireles will also be known for his time at Liverpool and Chelsea, scoring a couple of screamers along the way3. Mario BalotelliAs well as giving Roberto Mancini grief, and creating headlines for numerous bizarre stunts, Balotelli's time in the Premier League will also be known for some incredible hairstyles. A simple Google search of 'Mario Balotelli hair' will give you numerous examples, this being the worst. An immense footballer, awful attitude.4.Raheem SterlingHe's one of England's greatest young prospects. There's nothing much you can really say about this hairstyle because it sort of speaks for itself. Sooner of later you would hope a senior figure like Gerrard would take him to the side and say, "just ask for a short back and sides mate" and give him a tenner.5 Paul ScharnerA bit of a footballing legend around Wigan - not many players can say that! In this example, Scharner has dyed the word 'thanx' into his hair. Just one of many times that the Austrian has dyed it, because it's been just about every colour under the sun.6. Abel XavierAwful. The fact that the beard has also been dyed is embarrassing. He did O.K. in the Premier League with spells at Liverpool, Everton and Middlesbrough. He's better known for being the answer to quite a few football trivia questions, and also for a brilliant interview featuring Paul Gascoigne. 7. Alex SongBefore he was warming the bench at Barcelona, Song was dominating the midfield for Arsenal. A brilliant passer of the ball and strong in the tackle, it was almost enough to make you forget that his hair sort of makes him resemble a dinosaur. He's also the cousin of Cameroon legend Rigobert Song who also had some shocking hairstyles back in his day.8. GervinhoArsene Wenger made some brilliant transfers in his time, but Gervinho was by no means anywhere near them. The Ivory Coast international was impressive at Lille, but pathetic at Arsenal. His hairstyle and forehead size only added to the hilarity. 9. Djibril CisseCisse has almost been at as many clubs as he has had bizarre hairstyles. It's fair to say that his career has been eventful. He's had two horrific broken legs, playing a part of THAT night in Istanbul in 2005, and is now playing in Russia at his ninth club. His many creative hairstyles are just a part of his career, but if you need a laugh, search 'Djibril Cisse hair'. 10. Bacary SagnaThe fourth Arsenal player on the list, you'd have thought Arsenal Winger might have invested in a barber shop by now. He's been a brilliant player for Arsenal since signing in 2007 despite having this... thing on his head for the duration of it. 11. Taribo WestTaribo West. He is a part of the 'golden generation' of Nigeria football and has played for both Inter and AC Milan. West's brief spell in the Premier League was with Derby County, where he entertained the Rams for just one season. Whether it was entertaining in the correct way is another debate. He eventually ended up playing for numerous random sides, including making four appearances at Plymouth Argyle in 2005 before retiring in 2008.
