London, Mar 14: Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez was formally charged after he was caught for driving with a suspended licence and without insurance.
The 29-year-old Argentinean was banned from driving for six months Jan 16, reports Xinhua. He was was arrested last week by police while driving. He was formally charged Wednesday.
He has been bailed to appear before a magistrate April 3.
