Kolkata: Notwithstanding the unending celebrations saluting Sachin Tendulkar in his farewell series, India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni Tuesday said"It is always good when you know such things will happen and you are mentally prepared. The lesser the distractions, the better.

So far so good. Once the game starts I don't think the team will entertain any such thing,”  the team is focused on the match and would not entertain distractions once the Test begins at the Eden Gardens here Wednesday,” said Dhoni

“The focus is there. We are not thinking of anything except cricket. There are things that have to happen but as far as the last few days are concerned, we are absolutely normal. The dressing room atmosphere is great.”

Dhoni praised Tendulkar saying the batting great has always guided and interacted with youngsters in the team.

“He has always been for the team. But now that it's his last two Tests, you are noticing it more. He has always been one who interacts and guides the youngsters. I don't think there has been a significant change. He was like this always.”

Asked whether the team would dedicate the match to Tendulkar if they win, Dhoni replied: “What we need to do first is focus and win the match and then we will decide.”

Tendulkar will be hanging up his boots after the two Tests at Eden Gardens and Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium (Nov 14-18).
