The day after Kolkata Knight Riders capitulated in Chennai to all but crash out of IPL 3, Shane Warne had some words of consolation for KKR co-owner Shah Rukh Khan, reports Times of India.
"Hey buddy you're a champion and your charisma is something (that) I'm sure inspires a lot of people. Hang in there, sport is cruel sometimes," the Rajasthan Royals captain tweeted on Wednesday.
"Congrats the way you conduct yourself, I know it's tough re (regarding) KKR... I am feeling for you, but it's a pleasure to live the journey of life," Warne conveyed to the Bollywood star. Words that will surely touch Shah Rukh, who had apologised to one and all for yet another KKR failure on Tuesday.
Wednesday was a fresh day and SRK was in a better frame of mind. He wrote: "Also cos (because) lots of ppl (people) think I am sad etc. I am not.. just disappointed. That too has waned already. New day... new way. v get wot v work for (We get what we work for). Being successful does not mean that one doesn't react to bad days. Being successful means reacting and then acting upon changing bad days."
He added: "Those who don't have a reaction to losses get used to it. I always... say.. if you hate losing enuff (enough)... you will surely win. End of sermon ha ha."
The tone turned serious again: "Someone just sent a mathematical (ill-informed) profit made by KKR. To correct u... Not invested million dollars, just some priceless emotions in KKR."
