Bangalore:  A special innings from Manish Pandey , the local boy who played the most important innings of the tournament. Finally it was Piyush Chawla who delivered the knock out punch to Punjab and crowned the KKR champions for the second time.

Earlier, Wriddhiman Saha is the hero for Punjab and he has been patted by everyone on the way back to the pavillion. The bowling of Kolkata was torn apart by Vohra and Saha. It was carnage by  the Punjab batters as they  scored 141 runs in the next 10 overs.

It will be the battle between the best batting line up of Punjab and the best bowling department of KKR. Punjab being the most consistent team of the IPL this year would eye a maiden triumph over the 2012 IPL winners. They have to over come the spin challenge of Piyush Chawla and Sunil Narine.

For Kolkata, to repeat the feat of lifting the trophy for the second time, however, will be a daunting task considering the opponents they are faced with. Kolkata will also have to cope with Maxwell, who is among the top run-getters this season.
