New Delhi: MS Dhoni is reported to have suggested the name of Michael Hussey, once his team mate in Chennai Super King(CSK), for the job of chief coach of team India. Currently, Duncan Fletcher is the coach whose contract will expire after World Cup 2015.
According to daily English "Hindustan Times", Dhoni's suggestion has been communicated to the top brass of the BCCI.
Dhoni, who retired from Test cricket few days ago after Boxing Day Test ended in a draw, is very impressed with Hussey's tactical ability and man-management skills.
It is said that Hussey helped out Murali Vijay to correct the flaws in his batting and finally he tasted success in Australia.
Fletcher took over the mantle of coaching the set up from Gary Kirsten after India won the coveted World Cup title in 2011. However, despite having the credentials of guiding England through a tough period during the last decade, Fletcher hasn't been able to lift Indian team's performances especially, while playing overseas.
