Vindoo and Meiyappan were in constant touch on their cellphones, sometimes more than 25 times in a day, police sources said.



Vindoo used to talk to bookies soon after speaking to Meiyappan over cellphone, police said.

Crime Branch will question Gurunath about his links with Vindoo and whether he was involved in cricket betting or passing off inside information about IPL matches.

Mumbai police officials said, based on the questioning of Meiyappan, they will decide whether his actions falls under the domain of impropriety or invite legal action.
