Afghanistan announced their 15-man squad for the Twenty20 World Cup here on Friday.
Afghanistan team is taking part for the first time in the event.
The team, placed in Group C along with India and South Africa, will be led by Nawroz Mangal while Aftab Alam failed to win the selectors' cconfidence.
The team consists of the following players:
Nawroz Mangal (capt), Mohammad Nabi, Karim Sadiq, Mirwais Ashraf, Rais Ahmadzai, Dawlat Ahmadzai, Mohammad Shahzad, Hamid Hassan, Samiullah Shinwari, Noor Ali, Asghar Stanikzai, Shahpoor Zadran, Shabir Noori, Sayed Nasrat, Shafiq Shafaq.
