Electing to bat, Mumbai Indians scored 149 for eight against Chennai Super Kings in the IPL final on Sunday. Kieron Pollard top-scored for the Mumbai side with his unbeaten 41-run knock while opener Quinton de Kock scored 29.
Deepak Chahar accounted for three batsmen while Shardul Thakur and Imran Tahir took two wickets each for CSK.
However, pressure mounted on Kieron Pollard after he failed to score a single run off the first two deliveries. In the third delivery, the ball drifted far away from Pollard, and while it should've been called a wide, the umpire failed to spot it. It was counted as a legal delivery, and Pollard was justifiably disgruntled with the decision.
The West Indian batsman, in protest, took the strike on the wide-line, and walked away from the pitch as Bravo began his delivery stride for the fourth ball of the over.
The umpires walked towards Pollard and the two parties had a heated discussion on the pitch, as CSK's players watched the drama.

That's too much from Pollard. Why everyone tolerating him for years?— अर्पित जैन (@ArpitJ_) May 12, 2019
Had many instances where he did utter nonsense.

All started from here, giving the flight signal to Pollard by Bravo. These moments will be in the memory as always. pic.twitter.com/pliKzaCUBh— Johns (@CricCrazyJohns) May 12, 2019
Substandard umpiring and the umpire Nitin Menon smiling in an insolent manner doesn't help this is a major final ...— Suresh Menon (@sureshnmenon) May 12, 2019
