Reportedly, the meeting between the two lasted for two hours. Prashant Kishor was accompanied by Mamata Banerjee's nephew Abhishek Banerjee.
Prashant Kishor is credited with YSR Congress chief Jagan Reddy’s success in Andhra Pradesh, where the sitting CM Chandrababu Naidu’s party voted out.
He also had a big role in the successful campaigns of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014 and Nitish Kumar in 2015.
Trinamool Congress is facing a challenging political situation since the Bharatiya Janata Party managed to expand its seat share in West Bengal from one in 2014 to 18 in recently concluded 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
