Photos show how Taliban unleashed a catastrophe in Afghanistan

Several people in war-torn Afghanistan are making desperate attempts to flee the country, which has been taken over by the Taliban in a sudden and unprecedented collapse of the government. In the capital Kabul, most people were hiding in their homes as the Taliban deployed fighters at major intersections. There were scattered reports of looting and armed men knocking on doors and gates.
