Babar Azam's performance in last 10 innings in Tests
Pakistan lost the second and final Test against South Africa as the two teams levelled the series 1-1. Pakistan suffered yet another second innings collapse but Babar Azam stood up to it, scoring a crucial fifty, which did improved his numbers in Tests in 2025. Take a look-
Babar Azam hasn't been enjoying the greatest of phases in international cricket in recent times but a half-century in the third innings of the series decider against South Africa when Pakistan had their backs against the wall, would have given him loads of confidence for the cricket to come, having earned a recall in the T20I side.

Babar got starts in all the four innings of the two-match series against the Proteas at home, but the aggregate of 131 runs in four innings, with just a fifty was below-average for the standards the former skipper has set for himself.

Overall, Babar has amassed 315 runs in the last 10 Test innings, averaging 31.5, while scoring three half-centuries and as many single-digit scores. The recent South Africa series produced balanced pitches but the one against the West Indies in January weren't the best and Babar had returned scores of 8, 5, 1 and 31 there.

The away series against South Africa, playing the Boxing Day and New Year's Tests, was the best for Babar where he scored three fifties in four innings but a three-figure mark continues to elude the right-hander, for three years now and will hope that this series and T20 recall helps him grow in confidence.

The numbers aren't great for Babar's standards but they aren't as bad too. Having done well and ground out a half-century amid a collapse will keep Babar in a good stead ahead of what could be a tough tour of Bangladesh next year on even slower and lower decks.
