Kohli, who has gone past Sachin Tendulkar on several record lists, and is behind him on a few, reminded a whole generation as to what consistency looks like, what being at the top level for a long period looks like and how much hard work and determination is required to be called about in the same breath as the greats of the game.

Most ODI centuries - Virat Kohli went past Sachin Tendulkar in the World Cup 2023 semi-final to become the first man on the planet to smash 50 hundreds, while adding one more during the Champions Trophy earlier this year.
