2019 World Cup: Joe Root's century powers England to 8-wicket win over West Indies

England have climbed up to second place in the table with the win over the Windies.

Chris Woakes took the first wicket of the innings, sending Evin Lewis in the 4th over.

Nicholas Pooran stabilized the Windies innings - first, with Chris Gayle, and then with Shimron Hetmyer.

Joe Root was the surprise element, taking two wickets of Hetmyer and Jason Holder to bring England back in the game.

Jofra Archer, along with Mark Wood, cleaned up the tale, taking three wickets each.

Joe Root scored an unbeaten 100 to steer England to victory.
