Tere Naam is a film that pretty much reminded people of the impact of unfinished love stories, that too back in 2003. The Satish Kaushik's film featuring Salman Khan and Bhumika Chawla had everything, love, heartbreak, drama, pain, brilliant performances and a damn good album.

Ghajini has to be one of the most traumatic films when it comes to tragic romances. Aashiqui 2, another film by Mohit Suri that has a tragic end. Despite their intense love and chemistry, Rahul Jayker and Arohi Keshav Shirke didn't get the ending we wanted and probably that's why the 2013 release is special for suckers of the romance genre. The film features Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor.

Lootera has to be that one film that forced people to take Ranveer Singh seriously. The actor, who was earning a name with his nonchalance, just surprised everyone with Aditya Motwane's 2013 film. Also featuring Sonakshi Sinha in the lead role, Lootera's heartbreaking goodbye with monochromatic songs are too impactful to forget.

Yes! It's hard to make a listicle of tragic endings and not mention Sanjay Leela Bhansali films. While he has several of this kind in his filmography, 2013's Ram Leela, featuring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, has to be a part of this listicle, courtesy their on-point chemistry and undying love in each frame.
